Manila-listed Leisure & Resorts World Corp. is closer to acquiring what it describes as the Philippines' largest operator of the so-called e-Games outlet.

Such places are restaurants or cafes that specialize in online casino-style games. They are licensed by Philippine Amuse and Gaming Corp., a casino game operator and regulator in the Philippines.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, game company Premier Horizon Alliance Corp. said shareholders approved Leisure & Resorts World's offer to buy Premier Horizon's entire stake in Digiway Solutions Inc.

Digiwave currently operates the Pagcor licensed e-Games outlet in Metro Manila and nearby areas.

This proposal, sent to Digiwave shareholders on May 20, proposed to buy 100% of Digiwave's outstanding capital stock for PHP $620 million ($14.2 million).

Leisure & Resorts World is a holding company with extensive interest in entertainment, including capital investment through AB Leisure Global Inc., a wholly owned unit of Philippine casino resort City of Dreams Manila.

Leisure & Resorts World also owns less than 70% of First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corp, a master licensor for offshore online gaming licenses issued by the Cagayan Special Economic Zone.
