Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies showed off his friendship with Son Heung-min.

Davis appeared on the "ESPN" program "The Gab and Jules Show" on the 22nd (Korea Standard Time). On that day, Davis asked how he felt about joining Tottenham and playing for Wales at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Then, Davis opened his mouth about the club's captain, Son Heung-min, which attracted attention. He boasted his close friendship, saying, "Sonny is one of my best friends. We have been playing together for a long time."

"He is my son's godfather," he said, showing what he thinks of Son. Davis became a father after the birth of his son, Rafa Davis, in June last year.

In Western cultures, parents often ask close friends to be their children's godparents, which helps them know how much they trust the other person. Son Heung-min is so special to Davis that he can leave the role of godfather to his son.

Born in 1993, Welsh defender Davis left Swansea City for Tottenham in the summer of 2014. A year after Davis joined Tottenham, Son Heung-min left Bayer Leverkusen to play in Tottenham's uniform and enter the Premier League.

The two players, who had a short age gap, quickly became friends and played together for Tottenham for a long time. No other player has played for Tottenham as long as Davis and Son Heung-min.
