Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Havel Regulatory Development Manager (Alexander Havel Regulatory Development Manager). In his new role at GLI, Havel will meet with regulators, monitor regulatory developments, and update various GLI departments on changes to the regulated European gaming market and their impact on general technical information and gaming products. He will work in the GLI Netherlands/GLI Vienna office.

Haberl started his gaming industry career as a project manager at Novomatic - Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH, where he worked for the multistate product research and development department to develop new server-client-based technologies with an emphasis on electronic table gaming. During his tenure at Novomatic, Haberl contributed to the development of various gaming platforms and products, including Novomatic ITM, Novomity IITM, Novomain InteractiveTM, and Cash ConnectionTM - linked progressive systems. Haberl also managed Novomatic's technical compliance department, which was responsible for all PC technology based client-server system products. In addition, he helped establish a modern R&D methodology in accordance with ISTQB standards, and was part of the team that first licensed Novomatic's VLT systems in Italy.
Haberl then became director of group projects at Greentube IES GmbH, Novomatic's online gaming division. While at Greentube, Haberl managed various online projects with all other Novomatic partner companies, including the development of a new 360-degree server-based gaming platform that merges online and land-based network gaming technologies.
Most recently, Haberl was managing director of BMM Testlabs and head of business development at BMM Europe GmbH in Austria.
