Playtech, the world's leading omnichannel gaming company, celebrates the launch of Poland's first regulated online casino. The launch marks a breakthrough entry in the fast-growing Polish market as Playtech continues its strategy of leading and partnering with existing operators in regulatory and new regulatory markets.
The new venture will be known as Totalizer Sportowy. Held on wwwtotalcasinopl , the venture has a history of being a Polish national lottery operator and will be run by Totalizer Sportowy, the largest operator in Poland. Earlier in 2018, Totalizer Sportowy selected Playtech as its official online casino partner, offering a base platform, game portfolio, and support services that will be released today.
Totalizer Sportowi has operated Poland's lottery service for 60 years and today has more than 17,000 sales locations across the country. The company was originally founded to generate funding for the construction and renovation of sports facilities, which continues to this day.
The Totalizer Sportowi project follows Playtech's work with other members of the World Lottery Association, who have taken similar steps to expand gaming services. In recent years, Playtech has developed an extensive range of services for the trio operating in Northern Europe, including OPAP in Greece, Santa Caza in Portugal, Saisal in Italy and Bakehouse in Finland, Danske Spiel in Denmark and Norsk Tipping in Norway.
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said, "Today is a big day for Totalizer Sportowy and Playtech. A lot of hard work has been done over the past nine months to build an exciting, powerful, and safe platform for Polish players. We greatly appreciate the new partners of Totalizer Sportowy and look forward to a long and successful relationship.
"Our commitment to the scale and flexibility of innovative and industry-leading products and gaming platforms means Playtech is a clear partner of choice for a major land operator regulating the online marketplace."
