Pepper Savings Bank, the youngest women's volleyball club, has started its second off-season training since its foundation.

Pepper Savings Bank started its first training schedule through basic skill training at the Tamagawa Arena in Kawasaki City, Japan on Wednesday morning. Tamagawa Arena is a training ground for the NEC Red Rockets, which Pepper Savings Bank formed a sisterhood relationship with in 2022.

Players could have been exhausted from travelling from Gwangju to Kawasaki, Japan, via Incheon, for more than 10 hours the previous day, but they seriously trained with bright faces. "The players are following the training well even though they are joking that they have not even adjusted to the time difference," coach Jang Ji-yeon said, signaling a satisfactory start to the training camp.

In the afternoon, Pepper Savings Bank, NEC Red Rockets and Gaetsu University played a three-way practice game. Pepper Savings Bank lost all two sets against NEC, the winner of the Japanese V-Premier League, but won a set against Gaetsu University.

Through this practice match, Pepper Savings Bank received a positive signal that the new players are gradually melting into the team. Han Ha-hye gave strength to the defense, which was considered a weakness, and Jang Wi, the tallest middle blocker in the Asian quarter, led Pepper Savings Bank's attack, proving himself to be an essential player for the team.

There was also a happy scene with the sister team, the NEC Red Rockets. The players exchanged souvenirs and took photos together. Park Kyung-hyun and Hirota Ai, who had accumulated memories together by dancing K-pop dances in 2022, welcomed each other.

The Pepper Savings Bank team, which completed its training schedule on the first day, also expressed confidence in the upcoming season. "I aim to go to spring volleyball and I train every day to get better," said Park Jeong-ah, who has served as captain for two consecutive seasons.

Pepper Savings Bank plans to conduct weight training on the morning of the 20th and then start a rematch with the NEC Red Rockets.
